Supermarket Game Terms & Conditions

­These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry/claim instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by participating all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the terms and conditions. Please retain a copy for your information.

  1. The Promoter: Epic Activation Ltd, 71-75 Shelton Street London WC2H 9JQ
  2. Eligibility: This promotion is open to professionals aged 18 years or over who are business owners, marketeers, shopper marketing executives, agencies owners and their staff and other relevant industry experts in the field of shopper marketing, promotional marketing, the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry and other industries that carry out promotional campaigns for their products and services. We have the right to disqualify gamers, non-industry professionals and those that we deem to not have an interest in marketing activity.
  3. Promotional Period: The rolling promotional period runs by calendar month starting on the 1st of each advertised month at 00:00:01 (just after midnight) and ending at 23:59 pm the last day of the month.
  4. Entry Instructions: Players may play at any given time within the promotional calendar month by visiting the published domain and playing the game. Players must build up profits within a 5 minute timeframe in the Epic Supermarket. Once the 5 minutes of game play are completed, players will be asked to add their name and email address to submit their score. If the score is within the top 10 scores, then they will appear on the scoreboard. The player who finishes top of the scoreboard at the end of each calendar month will win the advertised amount of Amazon voucher. For March 2021, this is £40.
  5. Entrants must have internet access to enter the promotion.
  6. The game will be available at non promotional times where no prizes are awarded.
  7. Prize Fund: The prize will vary from competition month to month and will be stated at https://epicactivation.co.uk/epic-supermarket/. The prize win will be sent to the email address submitted at the time of entry. The prize may change for any given game month and will be advertised on the game site for that month.
  8. The entry point is time stamped and the scoreboard may not clear completely at 23:59 at the end of the last day of each calendar month. The winners details will be accurate in our system and this supersedes any information presented in the visual scoreboard. Our decision is final in all cases.
  9. No third party or bulk entries. Incomplete or illegible entries or via third parties or syndicates, entries by macros or other automated means and entries which do not satisfy the requirements of these terms and conditions in full will be disqualified. If it becomes apparent that either a participant or household is using any means to circumvent this condition such as, and without limitation, fraudulently falsifying data, acting fraudulently or dishonestly in the opinion of the Promoter, using a computer(s) or multiple aliases for example, the use of ‘script’, ‘brute force’, masking their identity by manipulating IP addresses, using identities other than their own or any other automated means in order to increase that participant’s entries or otherwise acting in violation of these terms, these participants will be disqualified and any prize entitlement will be void.
  10. Incomplete, illegible, misdirected or late entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are incomplete, lost due to technical reasons, corrupted, delayed, wrongly delivered, or not received for whatsoever reason.
  11. Winner Selection: The winner will be the person with the highest score at 23:59 on the last day of each promotional calendar month. In the event of a tie, the first person to record the winning score will be the winner. The winner will be selected according to our database and not the visual scoreboard. Entries made after this time, before the scoreboard is reset are likely to lose their submission when the scoreboard is erased and prepared for the new month. No scores can be retrieved. Players are asked to wait until it is visible that the scoreboard has been reset before starting to play again for the new month’s prize.
  12. Winner Notification: The winner will be notified by email or phone call (if it is known) within 5 calendar days of the end of the monthly competition. If a winner does not claim their prize after a further 2 calendar days or cannot be contacted, the prize will be offered to the second placed entrant.
  13. It is the responsibility of the entrant to provide correct, up-to-date details when entering the prize promotion and acceptance of the prize. The Promoter cannot be held responsible for winners failing to supply accurate information which affects prize acceptance or delivery of their prize.
  14. Promoter’s decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
  15. Prize must be accepted as offered by the named winner. There is no cash or alternative prizes, in whole or part. The prize is not transferable and cannot be resold.
  16. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should circumstances outside its control make this necessary.
  17. We reserve the right to verify winners and ask for proof of identity, age and address and to withdraw prize entitlement where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions.
  18. You agree that if you are a winner, you will take part in and co-operate fully with reasonable publicity and to the use of your name, photograph and any comments in such publicity without any fee being payable by the Promoter to you.
  19. Previous winners will be entitled to play the game but will not be eligible to win a second prize unless stated. In the scenario of a repeat winner, the person with the highest score that has not previously won a prize, will win.

  21. Entry into the Promotion is at the entrant’s sole risk. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter does not accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury, costs, expenses or claims (whether in contract, tort or otherwise) suffered by entrants or any third parties arising out of or in connection with the Promotion and/or accepting a prize. The Promoter further disclaims liability for any injury or damage to entrants or any other person relating to or resulting from participation with this Promotion save that nothing in these terms and conditions shall act to limit or exclude the Promoter’s liability resulting from its negligence or fraud.
  22. If an act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which are beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter and which prevents the Promoter from complying with these terms and conditions the Promoter will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligation.
  23. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for system errors or other issues that may result in disruption to, lost, delayed or not received entries, winner notifications or prizes. The Promoter or its agencies will not be responsible for the non-inclusion of entries as a result of technical failures or otherwise, including any such failure which is within the control of The Promoter or its agencies.
  24. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid consumer disappointment.
  25. The application and interpretation of these terms and conditions shall be governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction.
  26. The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of the promotion and for no other purpose, unless we have your consent.
